Ben Klock is a techno legend, and he has the resume to back it up. Time and time again, the Berlin, Germany native  continues to prove to techno fans across the globe why he’s simply one of the best at what he does. With a bevy of impressive performances, including my personal favorite, an absolute destruction of the Underground Stage at this past year’s Movement Festival in Detroit, it should come as no surprise to some that he was able to secure the number one spot in the voting for BBC Radio One’s Essential Mix hosted by Pete Tong. Though there were a number of fantastic mixes to choose from, such as Claptone, Sven Vath, Nero, or Lee Burridge, Klock proved through pure technical prowess and fluidity on the decks why he deserved the number one spot ahead of even Tale of Us who finished second. With a fantastic track selection full of driving, pulsing Berlin-style techno tracks, this mix is definitely worth a listen.. Or three.
