Rezz, the young, femaile DJ out of Niagara Falls, clearly had a breakout year in 2015 that saw releases for labels like Mau5trap and numerous perofrmances at top notch festivals as well as key headlining slots. Her latest EP is a four track work of art that was also released on the Mau5trap label. The female Gessafelstein, as she’s known to many, provides the dark dirty, grimey beats she’s been known for while still surprising many. The first track is dark and heavy, yet features the lovely vocals of Delaney Jane to soften things up a bit, Track two, Edge, has been a favorite of hers to play out in sets for some time now and with good reason. The catchy melody is met with a ridiculous heavy bass line and sub kick that give the track quite the ominous presence. Delusion is another Rezz classic, featuring a down tempo beat, that speeds up as the track progresses, and another heavy bass line and subkick. Delusion is a destructive dance floor banger with series potential. Methodology rounds out the EP and is even heavier than the prior two tracks. Building sound effects, heavy bass lines, and ruthless sub kicks make this track perfect for the after hours and a killer on the dance floor so give it a listen.
