As Buffalo moves into Spring and Summer, and the LiFT season winds down, there’s only a couple of shows left before Skybar makes its return once again for another star-studded summer of killer DJs and fantastic roof top vibes. One of the final shows coming up this LiFT season features two of the most talented acts the Dirtybird Records label has to offer in Will Clarke and Billy Kenny. Will and Bill have embarked on their Dirtybird Presents: Will and Bill’s Excellent Adventure tour touching down in some of the top cities across the globe bringing their choice cuts and enigmatic sets to some of the most notable dance floors around, with Buffalo being one of their very next stops and the $5 ticket price only makes this show all the more desirable.
Will Clarke has seen a meteoric rise in talent and popularity in a very short time and it has made him quite the hot commodity these days. The Bristol born producer, like many, sees his musical influences stem from his hometown as well as his seasonal home in Ibiza and his signature blend of House, Tech, and Booty/G House have made him a fan favorite on stages all over. Pair that up with an impressive resume of productions and you can pretty much expect gold anytime his name is involved. Releases on labels like No Brainer, Anabatic, and Ditrybird have shown his staying power both in the club and in the studio and after receiving major notoriety from a plethora of talented artists including Justin Martin, Seth Troxler, J Phlip, and Miguel Migs, Will took things one step further and introduced his Cut A Rug imprint for hosting parties and releasing music.
Hailing from Leeds, and now residing across the channel in Germany, Billy Kenny has certainly been exposed to some of the world’s top musical talent and it truly shows in his work. With a sound that is more deceptively BBC Radio 1 then it is Berghain, his signature blend of booty shakin’ house and intellectual techno music make this DJ, producer, and engineer without a doubt a force to be reckoned with behind the decks and in the studio. The co-owner of the ever popular This Ain’t Bristol imprint has seen large quantities of success via numerous massive productions that have seen releases on labels such as his own, Dirtybird, Low Steppa’s Simma Black, and Anabatic as well. A man who has truly taken his time to perfect his craft behind the decks as well, his technical skill with sampling, looping, and the like make him a threat behind the decks and a definite treat to witness live.
