The third installment in the Silent Glow Mix Collection features an eclectic set from budding talent Maurice Carpenter, aka Beast Ali using a vinyl mixer and Serato Scratch Live. Following up on mixes from PulseJunkie and EERIE, Beast Ali drops an incredibly diverse set touching on a wide variety of artists and genres flashing his unique and all-encompassing sound. With a mix spanning genres like House, Tech, Bass House, and more, this mix surely has a little bit for everybody and has us excited for his set at Silent Glow.
Beast Ali starts on the deeper side of the Tech House spectrum before quickly working into the wacky and quirky sound of Claude Vonstroke’s ‘Make A Cake’. As ‘Make A Cake’ begins to fade out, the ominous sound of Warren G’s ‘Regulate’ works its way in as Ali drops some G House with the Destructo and Wax Motif remix. Ali carries on the G House vibe with an edit featuring vocals from the late Eazy E, before moving into tracks like Cause & Affect‘s remix of ‘Realise’ by Carmada. Working in tracks like ‘Nasty’ by Marc Spence as well as ‘Work Me’ by Billy Kenny and the quirky Get Real track ‘Mind Yo Bizness’ rounds out a funky and enjoyable mix.
