For those of you who have been to Toronto, you know that the dance music scene there is one of rowdiest in all of North America. For the most part, you have your parties, your after parties, and then for the real champs, your after AFTER parties. This is typically where Comfort Zone comes in to play for a lot of Techno and House fans. One of the most infamous after party clubs in North America doesn’t open until the later hours of the evening, doesn’t serve alcohol, and is always rocking well into brunch time the next day.
This month’s SYNTH Radio comes from one of the regulars at Comfort Zone, a DJ by the name of Arman. Classically trained on the violin at a young age, Arman later picked up the electric guitar and drums before falling in love with music production. Since then, he’s played alongside Toronto mainstays Deko Ze, Jerome Robins, and Jay Force on countless occasions as a resident at Comfort Zone, usually taking over closing duties around 9:00am. In addition, he’s held gigs playing boat parties with Victor Calderone and is a frequent flyer at well known clubs like Parlour and Cabal. Fortunately for Dance and Rave, we were able to lock down a mix from the talented selector for our next installment of SYNTH Radio. This month on SYNTH, Arman delivers a seriously groovy, 90 minute long Tech House mix that is nothing short of a freakin’ Journey. Fusing together styles such as Tech and Deep House together in a seamless manner, this one sounds like it came straight out of Comfort Zone and is something we’re sure you’ll love. check this mix out, follow Arman on his socials, and be on the lookout for one of his live sets next time you’re in the Toronto area!
