Boy, Mike Williams certainly burst on to the Dance Music scene in dramatic fashion this year, didn’t he? Garnering support from massive acts at the rip age of 19, tracks like ‘Sweet & Sour’ rocked festivals and dance floors across the country as people fell in love with his euphoric brand of main stage music. He then followed that with a collab titled ‘I Want You’ with Tiesto, who took the chance to support the young artist whenever he could. Perhaps his biggest moment of the year, though, was being brought on stage by Tiesto who sung his praise to a packed Ultra Miami crowd. This month he returns with another catchy single on Spinnin’ Records titled ‘Take Me Down’.
‘Tale Me Down’ kicks off with a catchy melody and some luscious vocal work before quickly working towards the funky, fun brand of club music Mike Williams has become known for. Much like his prior releases, the Dutch based Williams shines during the drops and breakdowns bending synth lines and distorting melodies with ease. The drops certainly pack a little bit of a pop, before dissipating in to the background to give way for the vocals. If you haven’t given Mike Williams a shot yet, now’s a good chance, because you will be hearing a lot from him in the coming years.
