Fresh off the release of his Bumps EP on Psycho Disco, Codes keeps the momentum up with a brand new release on one of the UK’s freshest imprints, This Ain’t Bristol. The Brooklyn based artist, who met This Ain’t Bristol label head Billy Kenny by chance at a party last year, found a home for his track ‘Bad Boy’ on the latest Billy Kenny Selections. Conjuring up yet another mesmerizing dance floor tune, Codes relies heavily on percussive rhythms for the track’s opening. The track builds steadily for a little over a minute before ‘Bad boy’ is shouted leading in to a fat bass line groove. The track centers around this trippy synth for a bit while the instrumentals rise and fall before peaking right at the track’s second drop. Not only is ‘Bad Boy’ well worth the listen, but Codes himself is a producer on the rise so be sure to check out his pages below.
