The Armada takeover continues. Having picked up several of the scene’s prominent artist’s and labels in the last few months, they’ve continued their musical expansion across all styles well in to December now. This week, the global music leader announced they would be teaming up with none other than American Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and his KMS Records imprint. The Detroit born and raised Saunderson helped to cultivate the Detroit Techno sound some 30 years ago alongside Derrick May and Juan Atkins, as The Belleville Three. The work of those three resonated with an entire generation of indivuals, spurning one of the largest musical movements our country had ever seen with influences that are wide spread to this day. The KMS Records label will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017 and has managed to become and remain one of the prominent labels across the globe in terms of House, Techno, and Tech House music.

The first release as a joint venture comes from the likes of Luca Gaeta. The two track Voyer EP is a quality piece of Techno highlighted by a variety of influences. The title track leads things off with a dark, atmospheric vibe, and a serious of cascading synths and rolling bass lines. ‘Collision’ is a bit more hypnotic with fat, shattering synths, and a hazy atmosphere. Check the record below via Spotify and be on the lookout for even more releases from Jevin Saunderson and KMS Records as we head in to 2017!
