Robert Hood - Paradygm ShiftDutch-based record label Dekmantel is celebrating 10 years of existence in 2017. With that, comes the 50th release on the prestigious label, an imprint that has taken to heart the true meaning of ‘quality-over quantity’, and this coming May’s release is one of the biggest to date.

Stepping up is Detroit legend Robert Hood, who has also made a name for himself with his Floorplan moniker. It’s Hood’s first full album release since 2012 and represents a culmination of several bodies of work. The album, titled Paradygm Shift, wraps the the three EP series on Dekmantel and sees Robert Hood return to a distinguished sound that set him apart from the rest of the crowd during the 90s.

The LP sees Hood bring back plenty of that raw, nitty gritty sound from the early 90s that is refined in a modern fashion. Paradygm Shift begins a bit softer before hypnotically working its way in to a full on onslaught of Detroit-infused Techno. The full release comes out on May 22nd, but the album’s mini mix is available below to give yourself an idea of what’s to come.
