Yep, these guys are definitely one of our favorite labels at the moment. As Tchami’s Confession imprint continues to lead the charge in terms of Future/Bass House, releases like the latest three track banger remind us why. Dustycloud, a talented artist based out of Paris, released the Auspex EP at the end of last week, wasting no time making a definitive statement early on in the EP.
Leading with ‘Omen’, Dustycloud does a fine job of tiptoeing the line between Electro House and Future Bass in this in-your-face, club-ready anthem.
‘Last Chance’ is to follow, taking a moment to lead in to things, but bringing much of the same energy as ‘Omen’ nonetheless. The melody is a bit more simplistic in nature with reverberating bass lines and a rattling low end rhythm leading the charge.
‘Bold’ rounds things out for the AUSPEX EP. Ominous vocal samples and a down-tempo rhythm characteriz this record. Dustycloud shows no restraints on this slammin’ 4×4 rhythm, and in our opinion saved the best for last with ‘Bold’.
