Rolling bass lines. Hypnotic rhythms. The new Green Velveta collaboration along side breakout talent Detlefhas it all. The release comes on Velvet’s Relief Records, which is arguably one of the hottest labels in the United States at the moment following releases from Latmun, Leftwing & Kody, Golf Clap, Camelphat, Anrea Oliva, Kill Frenzy, and more as of late.

Designed for peak-time hours on the dance floor, Green Velvet and Detlef instill a smooth groove early on with ‘Groove Nation’, largely due to the relentless bass line/hi hat combo. Eerie vocals are looped in the background, while a robotic voice floods over the top as the synths bring a sinister feel to the track. The release sends things right back to the underground, letting the bass lines take control once again.

The two-track Groove Nation EP is out today via Relief and the purchase link is posted below. ‘Groove Nation’ can be streamed via Soundcloud, as well, and the b-side, ‘Freak It’, can be found here.
