For those who remember, Farhad Mahdavi stood alongside label-head Paul van Dyk and Sue McLaren on the massive 2016 tune ‘Together Again’. Add in releases such as 2016’s Warsaw and his 2015 album-debut Tehran Echoes and the result is an impressive back-catalog over the young producer’s burgeoning career.
This month sees the first Farhad Mahdavi solo effort on VANDIT Records, however, and certainly he’d been hiding something up his sleeve. Between it’s piano-laden breakdowns and heaven-sent synth builds, Mahdavi’s soundscape paints a vivid picture of love and light passing through the lush beauty of ‘Argentina’. While each synth fills out the track’s arrangement nicely, you can feel the energy increasing with each beat prior to being washed away in to a surrounding of structured piano chords, soft pads, and pure bliss.
