California based Clint Stewart has been a regular fixture with Pan-Pot and the Second State crew for some time now. Aside from making consistent appearances during label showcases, Stewart has had three releases on the Berlin-based imprint, with a fourth now on the way.
The Shadows On The Wall EP comes out at the end of this month, May 26th, and is perhaps the best example yet of his diversity as a producer. The EP’s title track, ‘Shadows On The Wall’, was already featured in Pan-Pot’s debut Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, and is garnering support from the likes of Nicole Moudaber, Monika Kruse, and Luigi Madonna with each passing day. Between its dark and twisted corridors and the uplifting, euphoric feel of the follow up track, ‘Nias’, Stewart wastes no time putting his talents on full display.
‘Lost on Kauai’ brings more of an electronic element to the table, while allowing a big, bellowing synth chord to lead the charge. With a booming low end and a big spacious atmosphere, this one was made for those big, warehouse-type venues.
‘GhostTree’ closes with a hypnotic flare that is only perpetuated by the rise and fall of a sharp synth and fluttering low end melody.
