Desert Hearts label boss Mikey Lion joins forces with Drtybird standout Sacha Robotti for the label’s 23rd overall release. The two artists originally met at a Dirtybird BBQ back in 2015, but didn’t hit the studio together until mid-2016 when they both moved to Los Angeles.

The Ol’ Dirty Hearts EP is the result of their collaborative efforts, a two-track release that sees both artists blend their love for hip hop and tech house. Things kick off with the title track, a chunky dance floor bomb that utilizes a rare ODB sample flawlessly while a series of distorted vocals is layered over the top.

The b side contains ‘Flip The Joint’, a slightly more energetic cut with blaring horns and a deep, booming vocal sample that mellows out in to the perfect desert-themed tune. Thick low ends, smooth snare rhythms, and a hazy atmosphere all add to the overall feel of this party-oriented cut.

The EP, out now, is available both for stream and free download via Soundcloud. Be sure to check it out, grab a copy, and hit up Sacha and Mikey Lion on their socials.
