Manchester-based bass and house producer LiTek is quickly becoming one of the UK’s most exciting new names. The rise in popularity is due in large part to releases like the Academic EP on Simma Black and his most recent collab with Tom Zanetti and Curtis Clacey “UBER” that reached #1 on UK Music Week Club Chart last month. June sees the follow up release, a collaboration with Brazilian producer Rrotik on the track ‘Faasti’.
‘Faasti’ is a simplistic tune in nature. LiTek and Rrotik rely heavily on a bent, low end synth and a chunky percussive rhythm to carry the load early on. The track is backed by distorted horns and elongated chords and reminiscent of earlier releases on the Dirtybird imprint. Thw record’s wobbly rhythms make this a fun one to play out and an impressive offering from the two producers.
