The first Dance and Rave record release is officially here.
After a successful trial run with a free download series, Dance and Rave took the next logical step in pursuing a record label and the necessary talent to make one run.
Jake Dudley is a 24 year old producer based in the burgeoning city of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. The Englishman first fell in love with electronic music via Melbourne bounce, but over time he was drawn to the sounds of Tech House. Artists such as Nicole Moudaber and Jay Lumen inspired the young producer and he soon after picked up the art of DJing, making his debut last April at Void, one of the premiere underground clubs in the West Midlands. To date, Dudley has releases with Blanc, Happy Records, and Tech This Out, with his latest release being both his first with Dance and Rave and the first Dance and Rave official release overall.
Jake makes a statement with the first ever Dance and Rave record release, as initially premiered by Electronic Groove. Taking the first minute to properly build a rhythmic structure, ‘Power’ is soon joined by an acid-tinged bass line and a looped vocal whisper help to fill in the track’s soundscape. Stage diving in to an energetic release, Jake Dudley dials in on the groovy bass line, letting the vocals fade in and out occasionally. The use of lush drum pads heard faintly in the background offer a light tribal touch while contrasting the energetic rhythm nicely. Filtered synth lines buzz over the top between breakdowns and the occasional triple kick offers a bit of flare, rounding out what we believe to be a solid production from top to bottom.
