Mark Farina was a major part of the second wave of Chicago House DJs due in large part to the massive success of his iconic Mushroom Jazz mixtape series. The veteran of now three decades is still DJing and producing and remains a relevant and driving force in today’s scene. This summer, he joined the Static Music family for the first time for a new single titled ‘Music Cultured’.
‘Music Cultured’ is another flawless display of Farina‘s talents as a producer. Tripped out vocals discuss music and culture while Farina layers in a silky smooth percussive rhythm that spends the better part of 8+ minute production gradually progressing without going over the top. The track fully puts Farina’s abilities to craft major rhythms out of minimal sounds on display and has just the right amount of that jazzy touch peppered in.
