In 2014, twin techno DJs and producers Kaiserdisco launched their KD Raw imprint. That same year, Dutch artist Rob Hes made his debut on KD Raw with his Reformation EP. Fans have been begging for more ever since.
Now in its third year, the imprint has played home to some major releases and invited Rob Hes back this summer for his first collaborative effort alongside Kaiserdisco. When the three put their creative genius together, the result is an other-worldly release in the form of Stardust / No Lack of Void.
‘Stardust’ is a proper intro to the first side-by-side production by Kaiserdisco and Rob. It’s tight percussive loops engrain themselves in the back of one’s mind as the frantic, yet perfectly calculated synth line stabs at the top end. As the three continue to weave the soundtrack’s fabric even tighter, it’s all gone in the matter of two beats, releasing in to a euphoric and filtered utopia.
While the stunning melodies and subtle nuances appear to grab the spotlight right off the bat, it’s the sturdy and rhythmic bass lines that separates ‘No Lack of Void’ from the its competitors.
