During a recently published interview with Tatsuya Takahashi, an ex-Korg engineer, Aphex Twin premiered a new track titled ‘Korg Funk 5’.

The interview was published by Warp Records and sees the two touch on a variety of topics including Korg monologue, which Aphex Twin helped to contribute several features. In addition, the interview touches on Takahashi’s design philosophy and his penchant for designing synthesizers that were both efficient and affordable. He is perhaps most widely recognized for his work on the Minilogue, Monologue, Monotribe and Volca series’ and is widely regarded as one of the more innovative minds in the audio design community. Takahashi, who now lives in Cologne, remains in an advisory role with Korg.

‘Korg Funk 5’ is comprised of entirely Korg synths from the Korg Monologue x3 and features vocals from the son of Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin.
