Mark Reeve made his initial debut on the Elevate imprint back in 2013 with a solo EP. Following its successes, the label invited Reeve back for a follow up EP in 2015, this time alongside label heads Pig & Dan. Fast forward to 2017 and Mark Reeve is making his return once again, this time with the two-track Don’t You Want My Love EP.
The EP’s title track sets out to be a sure fire summer anthem. The production’s undeniably rhythmic synth pattern stabs through the rolling bass lines and seismic low ends with ease while the vocal samples pay homage to early 90s house tunes.
‘Finding It Hard To Sleep’ represents the darker half of this two track release. Playing the perfect compliment to ‘Don’t You Want My Love’, Reeve focuses on reverbed bass frequencies hovering over an ever evolving low end modulation sequence.Throw in some frantic, hollowed out synth patterns and the resulting byproduct is a tantalizing, dance floor-ready cut.
