The Bushwick-area will be gaining another venue prior to the start of winter.
Spearheaded by Popgun Booking and the team behind Grasslands, a club that closed in 2014, the new venue will be called Elsewhere and comes with five separate areas for use.
The main room will have a capacity of close to 700 along side a smaller room, open seven nights a week, that fits about 200. Upstairs features a bar and cafe, called The Loft, that will serve a small food menu and beverages later in to the evening. The rooftop is expected to open mid-2018 with a capacity of 500 and will also be used for music-related events and film screenings. The venue as a whole covers roughly 24,000 square feet.
The venue’s come out swinging, already announcing a slew of acts for their first few months of business that include Stacey Pullen, Kolsch, Octave One, Juan Atkins, Jlin, and more. As of right now, Bruno Major is the first act on the Elsewhere schedule, set to play the Zone 1 room on November 1st.
