The highly anticipated second remix package for Ellen Allien‘s incredible Nost LP is slated to drop at the end of the month, November 24th.
Part 2 features a total of four remixes landing as the 333rd release on the imprint. Los Angeles-based Truncate leads, turning the original production ‘Innocence’ in to a sweltering cut that rides the energy of nuanced hi hats, wood blocks, and chord progressions. Gerd Janson, on the other hand, flips ‘Call Me’ in to chunky remix with drumline-like snare rhythms and a fat horn melody over the top.
FaltyDL turns ‘Erdmond’ in to something out of a dream. Simplistic in nature, FaltyDL utilizes echoed sound effects and soft hi hat rhythms against a dreamy soundscape of soft synth pads cascading over one another.
Kyoka tests her hand on ‘Call Me’ as well, taking a significantly darker approach. The Japanase artist phases several vocal samples and instrumentals through filtered dynamics with enough power emanating from the bass bins to rock any dance floor.
