South African DJ and producer Black Coffee is headlining this years edition of the Vic Falls Carnival. The three day event kicks off on December 29th and runs through the start of the new year with a 4:00pm-4:00am timetable set for each day.
The New Years Eve event, now in its 9th year, returns with their biggest lineup to date in front of one of the most breathtaking views the world has to offer. Joining Black Coffee is a slew of African favorites that includes the electronic-jazz stylings of Kiffness, Congo-based artist and creator of the hit single ‘Never Let Me Go’, Tresor, and Mampi from Zambia who has earned the nickname ‘the vibrating waist’ because of her stunning live performances. Local afro-infusion act Flying Bantu and Neverland founder Jason La Roux are also scheduled to perform.
In addition, the Vic Falls Carnival is offering a seven day adventure that starts in Johannesburg and runs through Africa, that includes the three day carnival ticket as well. Weekend passes start at $90 but single day passes are available as well as tickets just for Black Coffee’s performance.
Victoria Falls is in Africa along the borders of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Although it is not the tallest nor widest waterfall in the world, its combined dimensions (1,708m wide x 354m height) result in the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The falls are roughly twice the height of North America’s Niagara Falls and twice the width of the neighboring Horseshoe Falls.
