MUTEK Montreal will be moving its dates from the beginning of June to the end of August for the festival’s 2017 edition. MUTEK is now in its 18th year of operation and is using the extra day to refocus its commitment at the intersection where live performance, visual art, and technology converge.
Aurora Halal, Daphni, Detroit Swindle, and Zip make some of the bill’s larger acts thus far. In addition, Robert Henke, Marie Davidson, and Rroxymore round out an already diverse lineup of House, Techno, and Electronic that is expected to add another round of talent in the coming months.
The news comes as a bit of a relief to a lot of Electronic and Techno fans. Previously, MUTEK took place during the first week of June, making it difficult for most to make Movement (which takes place the week before during Memorial Day Weekend in Detroit) and MUTEK and the date change alleviates some of the divide there.
MUTEK offers various ticket options tailored to just about any scenario with full week, weekend, group, and student pricing all being offered at reasonable prices. Check the event page and ticket links for any more info and follow MUTEK and Dance and Rave for any upcoming announcements.
